When will there be a harvest for the world?

In the mid-seventies, the Isley brothers had a huge hit with the album Harvest for the World - it sold 500,000 copies in 3 weeks. The title track has rightfully become a classic being covered numerous times.

This version, by Santana lead singer Andy Vargas has a more latin feel but the sentiment is the same over 40 years later:

Gather every man, gather every woman

Celebrate your lives, give thanks for your children

Gather everyone,

Gather all together

Overlooking none,

Hopin' life gets better for the world

The last verse is especially poignant as the world works its way through the latest round of conflicts before governments realize that war is a waste of resources (to put it mildly):

Dress me up for battle, when all I want is peace

Those of us who pay the price, come home with the least

Nation after nation, turning into beast

When will there be a harvest for the world?

Indeed.
